HLS port storage service was founded in 1991. Its core business is handling and storing containers in the Port of Hamburg. The company has developed very successfully since its founding.
In 1999 HLS and TCS moved to their own logistics terminal at Africastraße 2 in the Port of Hamburg. This newly equipped establishment is protected from high water and covers an area of 34,000 m². More than10,000 m² of modern covered warehouse space offers optimal conditions for trouble-free handling of customers' orders. The logistics facility is equipped to handle dangerous goods of various classes meeting legal requirements.
This ideal location offers excellent connections to the most important traffic axes making short journey times possible.
Smooth handling of customer orders is facilitated by highly qualified personnel, who receive regular training. The optimal fork-lift pool, with load bearing capacities from 2.5 to 46 tons, enables HLS to handle all orders including over height and heavy lifts for international seagoing traffic. Four overhead cranes, each with a hoist load of 10 tons are available for industrial packaging. Special seaworthy packaging for machinery and project loads is constructed directly at the logistics facility in line with applicable standards.
HLS stores empty containers for well-known shipping lines to ensure that these containers are ready for loading the customers goods at all times.
